The current president of the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), Marco
Antônio Raupp, will be the new Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation
(MCTI), as announced latest Wednesday (01/18) by the president of Brazil.
Raupp was director of the Brazilian National Institute for Space
Research (INPE), also president of the Brazilian Society for Science
Advancement (SBPC) and director of the Technological Park of São José dos
Campos (SP).
Graduated in physics for the University of Rio Grande do Sul and
PhD in mathematics for the University of Chicago, Raupp will assume MCTI on
Tuesday (01/24) in place of Aloizio Mercadante, appointed as new Brazilian Minister of Education.
