Essa é uma notícia importante, pois, com o alinhamento que existia anteriormente na gestão do Programa Espacial Brasileiro (PEB) e do próprio Instituto de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE) com a China, graças ao jurássico CBERS, a aproximação com a India era algo relegado a segundo plano, para não desagradar os chineses. A reaproximação com a India pode trazer novas oportunidades já que o país não é alvo de sanções ou restrições tecnológicas, como os chineses são, no mercado espacial internacional.
