Data on programs and actions of the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais – INPE) are now available in the Access to Information Portal (Portal de Acesso à Informação) www.inpe.br/acessoainformacao

The user can find information about budget and goals, public employees, audits, agreements, expenses, biddings and contracts. Answers to common questions about the institute functioning, its main areas of expertise and research on the link “FAQs” are also available.

The launch of the web Portal caters to the Brazilian Law on Access to information, sanctioned by President Dilma Rousseff to regulate the constitutional right of access to public information by citizens. INPE portal uses Content Management Systems (CMS), an open source platform recommended by the Brazil’s Electronic Government Program.
