Axiom Space announces the world's first private astronaut crew

Axiom Space announced a few hours ago, on its Tweeter account (@Axiom_Space), its own crew of private astronauts, the world's first private crew.

This is impressive news and a major boost for private space exploration. However, Axiom has not yet provided further details on this, only that the crew members are multinational and will be commanded by former NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria (@CommanderMLA).

Axiom Space is known mainly as a manufacturer of space modules for space stations and one of the companies that aspires to be the first owner and operator of a future private space station (see more information here (pt)).
